A Rich Little History
The Firelands was given as compensation to Connecticut families burned out and driven from their homes during the Revolutionary War. Earlier inhabitants of this new frontier were Moravian missionairies and "believing Indians" who called their riverbank home Pettquotting.
Visitors to the Milan Historical Museum learn a history rich in progress and creativity. The important contributions made in Milan, milestones in invention and inventors and transportation are displayed throughout the many historical buildings, artifacts, and exhibits.
