Brewhaha 2009

Join us next year - September 18, 2010

Milan was home to a brewery as early as the 1850s which ran through the 1950s. The still-standing Milan Brewing Company structure was converted to a mushroom plant during prohibition and currently operates as the Growers Chemical Corporation.

This new event took place on Saturday, August 15, 2009, from 2pm – 4 pm. The Put-in-Bay Brewing Company was the primary sponsor of the event, offing a tasting of two micro brews.

The Museum hosted tours of the temporary exhibit The History of Brewing in Milan -on display for the day. In addition, activities included raffles for Edison Light Beer, a Mr. Beer home brewing kit and the sale of limited edition reproductions of Milan Brewing Company memorabilia.
