This Month in History... February
.jpg)
Photo taken of the square after the ice storm of February 17, 1909. A reminder that winter is not over! The tall flagpole was the last of four successive poles on that site. An earlier one was a mast of the Milan-built schooner, Idaho

During your visit at the museum take time to enjoy the lovely garden areas and restful seating.
The Four Seasons Perennial Garden, graced by marble statues representing Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter is just one of many quiet niches.
Many of the museum's garden spots were the work of volunteers. Chris Marett's Eagle Scout project resulted in the Four Seasons Perennial Garden.
"Four Seasons Monument & Perennial Garden, dedicated in 1998. Inspired by a gift in memory of Eleanor Arthur, Museum Board member 1958 - 1988."
